La poesia che ho riportato nel post del 31 gennaio 2007, è collegata ad un avvenimento di cronaca nera avvenuto nel febbraio del 2006 a Trabzon, l'antica Trebisonda in Turchia, sul mar Nero. Don Andrea Santoro, un prete cattolico originario di Roma, è stato ucciso da un adolescente mentre pregava nella sua chiesa.
Il poeta, pacifista, ha preso posizione all'interno della vicenda, e condannandolo scrive:

Il poeta che non partecipa
alla difesa della vita
è come la firma
che ritiene se stessa
una macchia d'inchiostro.

The poem that I posted on January the 31st 2007, is related to a fact happened in February 2006 in the ancient town of Trabzon on the Turkish shore of the Black Sea. Don Andrea Santoro, a catholic priest from Rome, has been killed by a teen-ager while praying in his church.
The poet, a pacifist, stood up against the fact, and condemning it, he writes:

The poet who does not partcicpate
to the defense of life
is like the signature
that considers itself
a spot of ink.
